WordPress Security Hardening for Real-World Sites
Most WordPress incidents start with an outdated plugin, an abandoned theme or an admin account that should not exist. We tidy, update and harden your site — and test it so business carries on.
WordPress core is actively maintained, but a typical site also runs a theme and a dozen or more plugins from different authors. Each one is code running on your server. When a plugin is abandoned or left unpatched, it becomes the easiest way in.
Hardening is a set of practical, documented measures: keeping software current, removing what is unused, limiting who can administer the site, protecting configuration files, enforcing strong authentication and keeping restorable backups off the server. WordPress's own hardening guide covers these, and we apply them with your site's plugins and hosting in mind.
Review WordPress core, plugins, themes, and administrative access.
Remove unused components and address vulnerable dependencies.
Improve access controls, backups, and security configuration.
Test the website after changes.
Plugins or themes show pending updates — or no longer receive updates at all.
Several administrator accounts exist and nobody is sure who uses them.
Backups are stored only on the same server, or have never been restored.
The site runs on a PHP version below what WordPress recommends.
Is installing a security plugin enough?
A security plugin helps, but it does not replace updating vulnerable components, removing unused ones, limiting admin access and keeping tested backups.
Will you change how my website looks?
No. Hardening is about the software and configuration behind the site. If a plugin must be replaced, we agree the replacement with you first.
What does the ₹299 consultation include?
A one-time 15–20 minute online call to understand the problem your website is facing, followed by a complete review of your website and a written report with audit findings, recommended fixes and solutions, delivered within 2 working days. A deep forensic investigation, full code audit, or hands-on remediation is a separate engagement — or covered by the WordPress AMC.
Will you guarantee complete security?
No provider can guarantee that a website will never be compromised. Our work focuses on risk reduction, remediation, testing, and practical security improvements.
